Shocking information came to light from Andheri East in Mumbai. A 60-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach after going to settle a dispute between two men. The victim was injured in this incident and is undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital. A case has been registered in this matter at the local police station and the police have started further investigation.
The name of the person injured in this attack is Vinod Tanpure. He is undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit of Cooper Hospital. His condition is said to be critical. In this case, the police have arrested the accused Vijay Pandurang Pangarkar (age 50, resident of Andheri East). Both the victim and the accused know each other.
According to the police, the incident occurred around 8:30 on Thursday night. Tanpure had just finished drinking tea at home and left, telling his wife he would return shortly. About 15 to 20 minutes later, Tanpure's neighbor, Suraj Kedar, arrived at his home in a hurry, reporting that Tanpure had been stabbed in the stomach. The complainant and Suraj Kedar immediately went to the scene, where they found Tanpure lying in a pool of blood near the rickshaw stand on Andheri Sahar Road, close to the exit gate of the Business Point building. They quickly transported him to Cooper Hospital in an ambulance.
The victim's daughter, Pooja, explained that a verbal altercation had erupted between rickshaw driver Shabbir and Vijay Pangarkar due to previous enmity, and her father intervened to stop the fight. In a fit of rage, Pangarkar stabbed her father in the stomach. Pooja recounted that when she arrived at the scene, her father was lying in a pool of blood and is now in the ICU. Pangarkar, who resides in the same area, has been arrested by the Vileparle Police Station. Senior Inspector Renuka Bua confirmed that an attempted murder charge has been filed against the accused.
